Yes. We offer roof washing and roof cleaning as a job on its own, and we also do it as preparation before a renovation: we remove moss, built-up dirt and leaves so that the condition of the roof can be properly assessed and the new waterproofing goes onto a clean surface.

Do you work in cold weather or during winter?
With today’s modern materials our work is already straightforward; manufacturers produce specifically “winter” materials whose cold‑flexibility is optimised for temperatures near freezing point. Despite this, we rarely work below 5 °C, so a 2‑3 month pause in roof renovation work is typical in winter. However, the increasingly prolonged warmer weather now often makes it possible to carry out work in December or even January.
What new waterproofing materials have appeared on the roof waterproofing and renovation market in recent years?
It is important to note that the well‑established and already proven methods are usually the most reliable. However, it can generally be stated that, with the development of technology, building materials that are increasingly versatile and have a longer service life are available. Unfortunately, inferior‑quality materials are also flooding the market more and more, so we should always decide on the material to be used only after a thorough inspection or by involving a specialist experienced in roof waterproofing and renovation.
How many years of warranty does Tető Mesterfokon Kft. provide for roof renovation and roof waterproofing works?
We carry out the work in Class I quality, following the building material manufacturer's application guidelines. We give a warranty of up to 10 years on our work; the exact period and conditions of the warranty are set out in the contract.
How often should the condition of roof renovation/waterproofing be reviewed?
It is worth keeping continuous watch on the roof, checking it after major storms, but annual maintenance at minimum is recommended, where any faults detected can be addressed in time before they become larger problems. It is recommended to schedule this annual roof maintenance after leaf fall, so that the inspection can be combined with a gutter/drain cleaning as well.
Is a deposit required before roof waterproofing work begins?
We never ask for a deposit. For roof waterproofing and/or renovation work on family homes, the full cost is usually payable after the work has been handed over. When there is a significant material requirement, the total cost is split into two payments:
- a part upon delivery of the materials required for roof waterproofing and renovation,
- a part after the work has been handed over.
How long does the roof renovation take?
The roof waterproofing or roof refurbishment of an average family home is usually completed within a week. Larger projects, factories, apartment blocks and halls are in most cases finished within a few weeks.
How soon can roof waterproofing work begin after placing an order?
The start date is largely influenced by the weather, but work can generally begin within 1–1.5 months of the order.

No two roofs are the same; every roof renovation has its own unique requirements. The simpler the shape, the lower the installation cost.
